About Protein-Maxxing

Protein-Maxxing is a reference site built around one idea: protein content, protein quality, and protein cost should be easy to compare across real foods, without wading through supplement marketing or reworded listicles to find the actual numbers.

How the data is built

Every food on this site carries macro data (protein, calories, fat, carbs, fiber) drawn from standard nutrition-science reference ranges, a protein quality score (DIAAS where a reliable published figure exists, clearly flagged as a literature estimate where it doesn't), a relative cost tier, and dietary tags. Comparison pages compute real deltas between foods rather than repeating generic copy — see our protein quality guide for how the scoring works.

What this site isn't

This isn't individualized medical or dietary advice, and it isn't a live pricing feed — cost tiers reflect typical relative U.S. grocery pricing, not real-time numbers. See our disclaimer and editorial policy for the full scope of what this site does and doesn't claim to do.
